After announcing the previously Jelly Bean exclusive enhanced Voice Search for iOS users, Google is now giving their mobile search site a little Now-like love. Starting today, smartphone and tablet users (yes, even those on iOS) can jump onto Google’s mobile site and access interactive “quick answers” for specific search queries, similar to cards UI found in Google Now. Users can search flight times, weather information, or currency conversions and interact with them users sliders to change weather time, or flight distance.
Search has always been Google’s bread and butter, and it’s nice to see getting a little smarter and more intuitive. Google also promised that this feature will rollout eventually to their desktop site, but didn’t give a specific time frame. Now if only Google could update their Search app for Android users on Ice Cream Sandwich and below, all would be right in the world.
