The official Facebook app for Android was updated today in the Google Play Store to version 1.9.7 and along with app stability (it’s finally working quickly on my Galaxy Nexus) comes a new “feature.” I use the term loosely because users can just now use the front facing camera when taking self portraits, so you might want to prepare yourself for the storm of duckface pics about to hit your timeline. Also, the app will no longer work on any device lower than Android 2.2 Froyo, a trend I’m sure we’ll begin seeing a lot more of lately. That being said, if you’re still using a device on 2.1 or below, do yourself and your country a favor and upgrade.
