Google TV’s Play Store to get upgrade this year
Google today announced that Google TV devices would be enjoying a new Google Play Store sometime later this year. The upgrade will bring the UI and other features in-line with Android phones and tablets. They’ll be adding movies, TV shows, and music available to rent and purchase. You’ll also be able to take advantage of a new subscription model. Google isn’t keen on sharing many details on what that model will be just yet but we’re eager to know. I think I speak for everyone when I say this is a very sizable step in the right direction.
