Google acquires Quickoffice, could help bolster Docs and Drive
Google has reached into its deep pockets once again to acquire the popular cloud-based suite of tools Quickoffice. Given the search giant’s recent launch of Google Drive with Google Docs integration, the move likely seeks to better improve these services, especially in the enterprise realm. Expect Quickoffice technology to fins its way back into Google’s existing suite of mobile apps, taking full advantage of the service’s built-in userbase.
