Even though the HTC EVO 4G LTE’s have been shipping to a few pre-orders since last Friday, there has been nary a word from the Taiwanese manufacturer about the status of the HTC One X on AT&T and that of future devices. All that changed today when HTC released the following official statement:
“HTC has completed the review process with US Customs and HTC devices have been released, as they are in compliance with the ITC’s ruling. Future shipments should continue to enter the US and we are confident that we will soon be able to meet the demand for our products.”
So, there it is, folks. Looks like everything at customs checked out, and HTC was successful in their inconvenient workaround for a software patent belonging to Apple. Happy day, everyone. Expect shiny new devices from HTC making their way to your favorite carrier retail store.
YESSS!!!! NOW THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT! ..LOL YESS THE WAIT IS SO OVER, IT FEELS LIKE I’VE BEEN HOLDING THIS 199 4 EVER MAN..THANK U CUSTOMS
Yes. They were approved, cleared and shipped a week ago to fill pre-orders.
These past 5 days i’ve had mine have been anazing! Cant wait ill more ppl get to enjoy this awesome phone! ( GS3 what? Lol)
Pretty soon I’ll be one of those ppl :)
apple is so scared right now. the peoiple have spoken and they choose android over ios.
Yay I hope to soon hold an LTEvo
That patent Apple had was such BS anyways…
It would be great if Verizon got a one x/EVO LTE variant, possibly a HTC thunderbolt x/2? Even better if the battery was removable
They are getting it as the “Incredible 2”. It was announced 3-4 weeks ago.
Target has this phone one x picked it up last week and its $179 …. Awsome phone switch from a nexus ….
I got my white One X from radioshack on the 24th for $179. I love this phone!
I’m glad these are coming through. Still going to wait for the GS3, though. The One X I played with felt cheap/plasticy and didn’t feel good in the hand. Non-removable battery is also a big negative – Batteries DO go bad.
The Samsung comes next month. I’ll wait.
Is Apple going to be fined for what basically accounts to using government resources to sabotage a competing company?
Also, I think Apple should be liable to HTC for the cost of all advertisements during the delay as well as lost sales.
