Barnes and Noble now shipping Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight

But they are warning of limited supply through Mother’s Day (May 13th). The new version of the Android-based e-reader is shipping the device ahead of schedule to meet “strong demand” from consumers who pre-ordered the device. The NOOK Simple Touch with GlowLight is the first digital reader to feature a front-lit eInk display, which allows for comfortable reading even in dark settings. Traditional eInk displays, though exceptionally readable in nearly any lighting condition, have been lacking in lowlight conditions.

Barnes & Noble is fulfilling pre-orders on a first-come, first-served basis. New pre-orders are still being accepted for the new NOOK Simple Touch, which retails for $139.
