Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S II in the UK Receives Android 4.0

5

Users with unlocked, unbranded Samsung Galaxy S II units in the UK can now apply an official upgrade to Android 4.0. You can grab it via Kies, as usual. Sure, it’s a bit strange to see the unlocked version of the handset receiving the update after carrier versions see it, but the gap wasn’t too wide and it still beat a lot of other handsets to the punch. You can grab the Samsung Kies software for UK here. Both Mac and Windows are supported. [Twitter via GigaOM]

    1. they want you all to buy iPhones

  2. If I didnt have a solid cm9 build to use on my Note I would be upset since its taking so long but just give us kernel source Sammy..We know you have it considering all the leaks.

  3. got bored of waiting a long time ago for ICS so i flashed CM9 so much happier with the phone, the stock ROM is so poor in comparison.

  4. What about a Galaxy S II bought in UK (unlocked) but working in other EU countries, will it receive now this ICS update?
