Three UK’s Galaxy S II Gets Ice Cream Sandwich

8

Samsung was quick to issue the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for their Galaxy S II, and Three was quick to provide it to their customers after a quick round of testing. They’ve announced on Twitter that the update is now available for those who want it. You’ll have to connect your phone to a PC using a USB cable and install the update with Kies – no convenient OTA, but we’re sure having Android 4.0 makes up for all of that. Be sure to connect your phone and check right away. [via EuroDroid]

  1. 4 months late is quick?

    1. It’s not late! The announcement of a new (Google) Android version says nothing about the release date of Samsung’s version of Android.

It’s just stupid to act like Samsung could have launch it 4 month ago! But maybe you prefer a device with broken drivers and no testing at all :)

      1. Personally, I’d just like to have my G2x which is less than a year old be slated to get ICS. So far it’s looking VERY VERY unlikely.

      2. Is it stupid to act like Google could have updated all the Nexus S devices with a bug free ICS 3 months ago? 2 months ago? 1 month ago?

And now they want to start talking about Jelly Bean…

Android fanboys have such short term memory of how Google continues to tarnish and fuck their customers and brand.

  2. Chop Chop now Samsung with the Galaxy Note’s UK ICS update … please

  3. I would say it was quick considering they were updating the s 2 before the nexus a even gets updated

  4. Any body know when the galaxy nexus for Verizon will get the update?
