Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition Now Available For 99 Cents (Limited Time)
Another Sega classic is now available for Android — Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition. To celebrate the release of their beloved franchise making its way to the the Google Play store, Sega is offering up the title for the low price of $1.
SMB2:SE works the same way as previous versions where you take control of a monkey, who, for whatever reason is stuck inside a ball, and you race through mazes, past obstacles and try to make to the finish line before time runs out. Sakura Edition includes 125 themed levels featuring everything from caves, to swamps to jungles and everything in between. Oh, and don’t forget the cherry blossom tree levels. Those are pretty.
There’s also a new gameplay mode exclusively for tablets called Monkey Base, which pits you against 3 other players, hurling projectiles at one another and trying to defend your base. Multiplayer is always a good time.
The game will require a 585MB additional download after opening, so be prepared for that. All-in-all, for only a buck, Super Monkey Ball 2 sounds like quite the steal. You can find it right now via the Google Play link below.
