HTC Fireball Gets WiFi Certification, But Just What in the Heck Is It?

Late last year, we heard of two phones called the LG Spectrum, which has been officially released, and the HTC Fireball, which we still know almost nothing about. We do know that it’ll have 4G LTE (what Verizon phone doesn’t these days?) and may have GSM radios for global use.

Today you can also add “WiFi” to that last, though I don’t think there was any doubt that we’d be missing out on that. The device has gotten its WiFi certification. The device’s model number, ADR6410LVW, is included to reassure us that this is the same device we heard about months ago.

But other than that, we still don’t know much. We expect it to have at least a dual-core processor. A screen above 4 inches might be a possibility. It might even come with Ice Cream Sandwich and Sense 4.0.

It could be the rumored HTC DROID Incredible 3 that we caught wind of last week. With as little information as we have, we can at least rest easy knowing that, with today’s certification, we’re inching closer and closer to more details. [via Wi-Fi.org, Thanks Joe!]
