Google Docs for Android Gets Offline Mode, Better Tablet Experience

The good folks at Google have just updated Google Docs for Android. The document editing application had a big crutch in its inability to work offline but that is all changed now. Google has added an offline mode in the latest version. You have to select individual documents to make available offline but that shouldn’t be a problem for most. Your changes offline will be made to the online version as soon as you’re back on a network so you won’t have to remember to do it manually (though you can do it manually if you want). They’ve also made the viewing experience better on Android tablets by presenting the documents and controls in high quality. Three megabytes and a few seconds will get you the update in the Android market here. [via Google+]
