Google Planning to Introduce Major Google+ Changes in the Coming Days
Google’s really taking their social network – Google+ – seriously as it has evolved as fast as some of their most successful products, including Gmail, Chrome and Android. These updates will only apply to the web app for the time being but we can’t imagine they can’t make their way to Android at some point in the near future.
Firstly, Google’s introducing more elegant and useful notifications. Instead of just seeing all your updates in plain text, they’ve spruced up the notification center a bit. Images will aid your notifications to give you a quick glimpse at who’s talking about what. In addition to adding eye-candy to that part of it all, you’ll now able to get a quick look at who’s +1’ing your stuff.
Next we’ve got the volume control feature. We’re not talking about actual sound here – we’re talking about general “noise” in your timeline. With this feature, users can easily control how much from a certain circle would they like to see in their main stream. If you want to hear more about what your family and friends are talking about and less about what co-workers are talking about, you can set it up accordingly.
Google+ Pages have gotten a bit of an upgrade with companies now being able to add up to 50 page administrators. These page administrators will also be able to check a separate stream of notifications to be kept in the loop for that particular page. Page admins can also see at a glance who and how many people are interacting with their page.
Finally, Google’s made improvements to their photo lightbox view. When viewing a photo it will be easier to navigate through albums and easier to read text.
