Galaxy Nexus Retail Packaging Spotted, Shipping to Verizon Stores This Week; Source Confirms 12/9 Release Date

All of the pieces are starting to fall nicely into their places. We’ve been hearing rumors that the Galaxy Nexus will be headed to Verizon on December 8th or 9th and it looks like those rumors could turn out to be true.

First up, our own anonymous source who has been reliable and has provided us with information, images and videos of the device in the past has heard from his rep (not a customer service rep) that the Galaxy Nexus is set for 12/9.

Need more than just words? How about someone who has received the device in its final retail packaging? Someone on XDA posted the images for all to see. Sure enough, it’s Verizon’s and it all looked very official.

What’s more is that they stated shipments will be headed to Verizon stores this week making it all the more believable that we will see this device before the weekend. Fingers crossed! [XDA, AndroidForums.com, thanks anon!]
