Lenovo Unveils Flurry of Android Phones and Tablets
Lenovo has unveiled their updated line of Android tablets and phones. Starting with their tablets, we have the S2007 and S2010, 7 and 10 inch tablets, respectively. We’re looking at 1GB of RAM, a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, 1280×800 resolution, an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front camera for both devices.
Different between the two are battery capacities with the 7 inch version getting a 3780 mAh battery (good enough for 8 hours) and the 10 inch version getting 7560 mAh battery good enough for 10-11 hours. Both these tablets also have Android 3.2 but are due for upgrades to 4.0 sometime down the line.
The LePhone S2 was also unveiled but it’s not quite as powerful as we thought it’d be. It still looks to be a decent phone, though, with its 1.4GHz single-core Qualcomm processor and a 3.8 inch WVGA display.
Interestingly enough, Lenovo will be offering two different configurations – one will get you 512MB of RAM with 8GB of internal storage and the other will give you 1GB of RAM with 16GB of storage. The internal storage differences don’t surprise me but it’s not often you see a difference in RAM. Both will have 8 megapixel cameras with 720p HD video recording.
As with previous Android-based Lenovo phones and tablets, we aren’t too confident these will make their way stateside. For now, China will be your sole marketplace to find one whenever it does launch. [Engadget 1, 2]
