360 Panorama Brings Real-Time Panoramic Photo Taking to Android 2.3 Devices

360 Panorama, a popular iOS app that was once supposed to come to Android, will finally be launching soon. 360 Panorama allows users to take panoramic shots in real time, meaning your phone isn’t taking a series of photos and stitching them together. Instead, it captures the entire photo at once which makes for a more accurate and clean shot.

The application has been in development since Android’s launch but the lack of support outside of Java and the lack of OpenGL support forced their hand to instead focus on getting it up on iOS.

Now, with the NDK and OpenGL, they’ve finally been able to finish their project on Android. We can’t find the application in the Android market just yet but we expect to see it there soon. The app will cost $.99 to download and requires Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
