Popular Science has revealed their annual “Best of What’s New” list, and NVIDIA’s dual-core Tegra 2 chipset has been honored in the “Gadgets” category. The Tegra 2 chip was a real breakthrough this year, quickly becoming the top choice for companies developing top-of-the-line Android tablets. It was used as the reference chipset in the debut Honeycomb slate, the Motorola XOOM, and has since made its way to smartphones. Other chipset makers have followed suit and arguably outdid NVIDIA, but there is little arguing with the game-changing results the Tegra 2 brought about.
Other Android-related items featured in the “Gadgets” selections are Verizon’s 4G LTE network, Google Wallet, and a surprising Kyocera Echo. The latter was an innovative design, but not much else.

Considering all of the Tegra optimized apps in existence I think that regardless of theoretical horsepower other chips provide that the Tegra 2 ultimately won.
Problem is, the only reason it got so much support is because of the money that nVidia put on promoting it and buying out exclusivity on games. At the end of the day, it’s mostly an underpowered chip.
It’s not that new…
Thaaaat’s not a Tegra… THIS is a Tegra! http://www.pclaunches.com/entry_images/1109/06/nvidia_tegra.jpg
now if only Nvidia could write some good drivers so Tegra devices didn’t crash and slow down all the time.
Allegations are cool… Now that you have our interest, let’s see some facts that validate your claims. Or are you a liar?
and be able to run full 1080p like Exynos chips!
These guys don’t have a clue…Tegra2 was fail. It just about beat Hummingbird CPu from over a year ago….
