Norton wants to make the Android tablet more secure with the release of Norton Tablet Security. The new app brings the same protection found in Norton’s smartphone app including web-based anti-theft and anti-malware tools. Speaking of the smartphone version, Norton Mobile Security has received an update with a new feature to help owners find a misplaced or lost phone. Using the “scream” feature, Norton’s app triggers an audible alarm upon receiving a pre-defined text message.
The apps don’t come cheap. Norton’s tablet suite will set buyers back $39.99, while the smartphone counterpart comes in slightly cheaper at $29.99. The purchase includes one full year of protection.
