Got a couple of great apps for you today ahead of all the chaos set to ensue tomorrow. Before I hand things over to Chris Chaves, I just want to remind everyone that we’re covering all bases tomorrow. From Motorola’s DROID RAZR unveiling in New York to the Ice Cream Sandwich and Nexus Prime showing in Hong Kong, we’ll be there covering all the action. Stick with us for hands-on and other great coverage following respective announcements. Onward to apps of the day!
Remember the Milk – Remember the Milk isn’t necessarily a new app but we haven’t really covered it before. We figured now is as good a time as any, though, considering they just released a nice update for it in the Android market. First things first, if you don’t know what this app is, it’s a cloud-enabled task list service that is considered by many to be the creme de la crop. Alongside a revamped user interface and some new features, they’ve finally made the app free to use for ANYONE, though pro users will get more features. Go ahead and grab it in the Android market. Espier Launcher – I’m not one to want to make my phone look like an iPhone, but I know there are quite a bit of you who do. Espier launcher is a perfect home replacement app for that very need. I must admit – it does look nice. The launcher goes further than just looks, too, as they’ve even gotten iOS’ beautiful folder system that Android itself could “borrow” a couple of features from. Best of all? It’s all free at the link ahead. [Market]
hopefully the Razr gets ice cream sandwhich and then I will think about it but I most likely will wait for my contract to let up next year for another phone
Roms like MIUI have folders and look very nice plus you can use widgets too…MIUI can be themed extensively too to make it look however you want. This launcher looks ok but is very limited.
I love the customization that i have for my GO Launcher. I downloaded it a few weeks ago for my Nexus S and haven’t looked for another launcher. I love it. So many customizations that im still discovering every time i open the settings menu.
