Viewsonic has a new tablet on the way, a budget-friendly 10-inch slate known to be headed for the UK and Netherlands. The Viewsonic ViewPad 10e was outed in an advertisement for the slate and then confirmed by the manufacturer. The new tablet will feature the same a 9.7-inch display at a resolution of 1024×768, matching that of the TouchPad and iPad 2. It also features a 1.3MP front-facing camera and comes in at a slim 9mm thick. The tablet will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread, with little else known about its internals.
ViewSonic says the device is coming soon, but no release date has been specified. The price, however, is known. An agreeable €250, or about US$340.
