HTC Holiday Turns Up Again, This Time on 4G LTE Possibily Showing Impressive Speeds

Another leaked photo of the HTC Holiday has surfaced, and while we aren’t treated to anything particularly new here hardware or software wise, we do get a glimpse of the phone apparently being tested on AT&T’s 4G LTE network. The HTC Holiday is set to be one of AT&T’s first 4G LTE handsets set to come out by the end of the year. As of now, only Samsung are rumored to be bringing a variant of either the Galaxy S or S II with LTE radios inside.

The HTC Holiday will meet high-end expectations with some nice specs inside. We’ll be seeing a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor powering things under the hood while we’re getting a 4.5 inch qHD display and an 8 megapixel camera on the surface. For software we’re getting Android 2.3.4 with HTC Sense 3.0, and we can’t imagine an update to Sense 3.5 is out of the question.

Oh, and as for that LTE performance? Well, we’re having a hard time believing that this thing is pulling down 29 megabits and sending 6. The WiFi signal is on in all of the photos showing the status bar, but oddly enough the status bar isn’t shown in the speed test photo.

The speed test app does say “Lte” under “Network”, but we elect to remain skeptical. But trust me, we really do want to believe that AT&T is capable of sending and receiving that much data even if the network isn’t really all that congested right now. I guess time will tell. [BGR]
