Amazon Free App Of The Day – Photo Enhance Pro

16

If it’s one thing that most Android devices need a little help with, it’s in the camera department. That’s why I wanted to let you guys know about Amazon’s free paid app of the day, Photo Enhance Pro. This photo editing app allows you to enhance and tweak your photos by boosting colors, increasing detail, even applying an HDR effect and exports your photos in full resolution. I was surprised at how this was definitely one of the more user friendly photo editing apps I’ve come across.

Normally the app is $5 in the Android Market but you can download it for FREE in the Amazon Appstore. Don’t forget to leave a comment after giving it a spin and if you recommend something else, let us know as well. Cheers!

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  1. Worthy of a free app from amazon!

  2. Great app. If you wish you could do more with your pics then you should get this app.

The only downside it that i wish after i was done with the pic i could go straight to text messages and send it to a friend. You can save it and then go to text messages but seems like an unnecessary step to take especially when you have all the other options as to where you’d like to send the picture.

But still a great app to get. If i had known about it and it wasn’t free I probably would have paid the 5 bucks for this app.

    1. Joe — you should be able to select “Share” from the menu and share it to the text app.

  3. Great that its free, but for 5 bucks, it seems pricey.

    2. Wow AshleyColdMAn2, that’s amazing! I’ve got something you may be interested in: magical hotdogs that get their powers from elf blood drained from virgin elves! These hot dogs not only taste good, but they are available for amazing low prices! I got an eight pack shipped to my door via Next Day Air AM for only $1.18!!!!!! After eating just one of these magical hotdogs I’ve watched my “manliness” increase my 500%!!!!! Here is the website I got them from: http://you.are.anidiot.net

  5. Great little app! It’s the only one I’ve found that lets me do basic editing (colour touch-up and cropping) on my phone without lowering the resolution of my photos.

I decided to buy it on the Market to support the developer!

  6. Chris! That’s a mega awesome app! I was actually trying to find such an app today because I hate the quality of pictures my Droid 2 Global produces. Thanks! :D

  7. I have so many photo editing apps… people seemed not impressed on the reviews on Amazon but I didn’t check out the Android Market to see them. Maybe i’ll give it a whirl.

  8. Amazon AppStore is dead.

But you can dowload my free app of all days on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Chaos-Games-Studio-Eole-Free/dp/B005H3APM8

  9. frick…. i didn’t see this till now. Totally bummed i missed it.

  10. Only to users in US. Boo-hiss!

  11. How many of you edit/enhance images on your phone. I have a Nexus S and I don’t really have a desire to do so.

  12. Well it wasn’t free. I got dinged $4.99 for it even though I download within minutes of this posting. I had to contact Amazon for a refund after uninstall. Where did you see it was free?

  13. Hi guys — if you like Photo Enhance Pro then I’d appreciate you dropping by amazon.com and doing a quick rate/review, as it got thoroughly panned by the trolls whilst it was free app of the day, so its reputation on amazon has suffered rather a lot as a result. (FYI, 145,000 people downloaded it in that 24 hour period — wow.)

I’m about to lower the price to $1.99 on the amazon app store so if you’re about to buy it you may want to wait a couple of days (it takes amazon about that long usually to process the price change) — thought I’d do my bit to up sales in the wake of the free app of the day promotion and try and keep it somewhere near the top of the charts.

    Cheers,

    Mark (Photo Enhance’s developer)
