The big wigs at Magenta have announced plans to bring carrier billing to their customers for more than just applications and in the Android market. They’ve teamed up with BillToMobile, PayFone, Boku, OpenMarket, and Zong to get things moving and are working to add more partners soon.
Starting out, purchase options may be limited to music, movies, in-game add-ons and credits and games themselves, but physical goods is a future possibility. This goes beyond mobile, even, so you could be paying for your gold coins on one of way too many Facebook games using your T-Mobile account. I’m excited to see how much more T-Mobile will end up adding in the future. Look forward to seeing this begin rolling out later this month. [TechCrunch]
