The Anymode Smart Case isn’t shy about it’s resemblance to Apple’s iPad 2 Smart Cover — they barely had the decency to change the name — but it’s the fact that it is designed for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 that really created a bit of a stir. In light of an ongoing lawsuit from Apple, it seemed a bold move for Samsung to market the obvious knock-off through their own retail channels. Now the Korean manufacturer is chalking the whole thing up to “oversight,” responding that the Anymode case never received the “Designed for Samsung Mobile” stamp of approval and promptly having the item pulled from Anymode’s site. Samsung is now working with the accessory company to resolve the problem, though no cases were ever sold. We imagine the conversation between the two companies started off with something along the lines of “What the heck were you thinking?”
