HTC Revenues Hit Record High for June

For the third straight month HTC revenues have hit a new high, rising 10.9 percent from May’s total to reach a record $1.55 billion USD. Second quarter revenue topped out at $4.2 billion, surpassing earlier projections of $4.17 billion. In total HTC’s revenues have grown 19.43 percent since the first quarter of 2011, and the recent figures suggest growth won’t be stopping anytime soon. Market experts are projecting that HTC will overtake RIM to become the fourth largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. Estimates place handset shipments at 21 million for the first half of the year, though HTC’s full earnings report has not yet been released.
