The folks at Nullsoft (AOL?) have just announced version 1.1 of their Android application, bringing with it some pretty cool features if I do say so myself. (And I do, of course.) Highlights certainly include AOL’s full CD listening party for new release albums, a feature that’ll allow you to stream a new album from start to finish. Other cool changes include implementation of Android’s built-in “listen to” command, redesigns of the now playing screen and home screen, and more. Take a look at the full list of changes below.
Winamp for Android now features key AOL Music discovery franchises including free music downloads (Spinner’s MP3 of the Day) and full album streaming of new releases through AOL Music’s Full CD Listening Party (CDLP). Other notable new features include:
• Improved SHOUTcast & streaming playback through a new native media engine
• Ability to add MP3 of the Day and CDLP tracks to play queue
• Now Playing & Home screen redesign
• Browse by genre
• Album art gesturing for track change
• Integration with Android “Listen to” voice actions
• Available in 14 languages
Go ahead and find the new upgrade as a free download in the Android market.
