ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Overclocked to 1.4GHz

The Asus Eee Pad Transformer has been overclocked to 1.4GHz, taking the Tegra 2 processor buried within and pushing it past a Quadrant benchmark score of 4300. That’s a pretty hefty boost for the Honeycomb tablet that has been making waves lately mostly for the fact that it has been pretty hard to come by. The [relatively] affordable price tag doesn’t hurt.

If you have managed to get your hands on the Asus Eee Pad Transformer (and your chances are looking a lot better these days) and are the type that loves to tinker with your Android devices, you can head over to XDA Developers to grab the new Netformer kernel courtesy of netarchy. Then start pushing that CPU speed up, up, and away. Sure, battery life will suffer but think of the power you’ll get!
