Verizon’s Inductive Charging Movement Spreads to DROID Charge

You had to guess that a phone with the name like the DROID Charge would get some unique charging options. That’s not why it seemingly has, of course – this is just becoming Verizon’s “thing”. The LG Revolution was the first device revealed to have an official wireless charging solution and we learned about options for the HTC Thunderbolt shortly after that.

It looks like these special battery doors will be coming to all of Verizon’s high-end DROID products, which means the DROID X2 and the HTC DROID Incredible 2 may be next in line. The pricing on these are odd, though – the Thunderbolt’s door is $40 while the image above says the DROID Charge’s will be $30. (Which is a much better price, in my opinion.) We’re not sure what the reasoning is for the discrepancy, but eh – it’s their product. [via Droid-Life]
