XOOM Launch Kicks Off in UK Thanks to Amazon, But Already Sold Out [Bummer]

We all knew Motorola’s Honeycomb tablet – the XOOM – would be making its way ‘cross the pond, but it’s been reportedly hard to find in stores as most aren’t advertising it or don’t have it in stock yet. Amazon has gone ahead and put the thing up for sale if you’re wanting to get your hands on it, though, and all it’ll cost you is  570 quid.

Steep asking price, yes, but it’s the best you’re going to get until carriers start offering it on data tariffs, if ever. I already have some bad news for you folks, though: the WiFi-only version is sold out. And the 3G version – which’ll cost 670 quid – won’t be available until May 9th. Treat this as a heads-up to keep checking Amazon and your other favorite retailers every day for stock as this thing seems to sell as faster than anyone can actually find them. [via EuroDroid]
