Bell’s Motorola ATRIX Has HSUPA Disabled, Too
AT&T cust0mers were furious to learn that their Motorola ATRIX 4G was crippled with limited upload speeds thank to the lack of HSUPA support in the software. Thankfully, Ma Bell has confirmed that future software upgrades will get rid of this limitation. Those folks aren’t the only ones whose ATRIX was limited, though. The newly-launched Motorola Atrix for Bell in Canada also has the limitation according to XDA. Speeds were confirmed to be limited to 400kbps. Bell hasn’t said anything on whether or not this a hardware limitation, but we’re assuming otherwise. If it isn’t, we’ll be waiting for word from Bell to see if they’ll ever be lifting the cap in the future. [via Engadget]
