By the name, you might be inclined to think the Galaxy S Hoppin is a Galaxy S prepackaged with NBA or Basketball applications- afterall, March Madness is right around the corner. But the “Hoppin” referred to in this case isn’t about dunking a ball but instead streaming your media. The Samsung Galaxy S Hoppin will be available on local carrier SKT whose Hoppin service allows users to stream content on their phone to TV or PC.
The Hoppin has a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen and 1GHz processor like many of the Galaxy S phones we’ve seen, plus Android 2.2, GPS, 5MP camera, DLNA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack and more. Looks like a pretty nice phone although I can’t say I’m particularly fond of the “heft” below and above the screen- seems like a lot of hardware beyond the screen.
