By the name, you might be inclined to think the Galaxy S Hoppin is a Galaxy S prepackaged with NBA or Basketball applications- afterall, March Madness is right around the corner. But the “Hoppin” referred to in this case isn’t about dunking a ball but instead streaming your media. The Samsung Galaxy S Hoppin will be available on local carrier SKT whose Hoppin service allows users to stream content on their phone to TV or PC.
The Hoppin has a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen and 1GHz processor like many of the Galaxy S phones we’ve seen, plus Android 2.2, GPS, 5MP camera, DLNA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack and more. Looks like a pretty nice phone although I can’t say I’m particularly fond of the “heft” below and above the screen- seems like a lot of hardware beyond the screen.
it wil ship with 2.1
Samsung continues to blatantly rip off Apple hardware design. If you’re going to get an Android device, why would you get one that looks like an iPhone?
Some of us don’t get Android phones just to be “different” than the iPhone.
@Alex. That is why I love the look of my OG Droid. It is very anti-iphone.
Why would I NOT get a bad ass phone because it looks like another phone?
So many boring Samsung devies with the same crap. Yes, my OG Galaxy S (Vibrant) was and is close to a top-of-the-line phone and will continue to be if they keep putting out crap like this. Where are the 8mp cameras, dual-led flash, 3mp+ ffc, 32gb built in internal memory?
Looks like someone linked thier whole picture gallery to the article.
Can’t you already do all of this with any DLNA enabled device? I don’t really see what is new here other than maybe some new software…
@Alex lol im so surprised that Apple didnt claim any copyrights over galaxy s like they did to meizu m8 :)
How doesit look like an iphone? Screen size is 4.0, thickness is 10.9 and the back is so different! check this site even though some of u dont understand korean.
