HTC EVO Shift 4G Goes Official; Available Jan. 9 for $149.99; Best Buy Taking Pre-Orders; Wirefly Reviews It

Sprint’s become the new Verizon, it seems, as their HTC EVO Shift 4G has seen countless leaks leading up to today’s official announcement: the device will be available January 9th for $149.99 after a two-year contract agreement. It’s everything we expected it to be: Sprint’s version of the T-Mobile G2 with HTC Sense and 4G WiMax radios. It’s preinstalled with Android 2.2, has a five megapixel camera with HD video recording capabilities, Qualcomm’s MSM7630 processor clocked at 800MHz (ala G2), and comes with a 2GB microSD card. HTC EVO Shift 4G follows in the footsteps of the award-winning HTC EVO™ 4G bringing customers an attractive, streamlined design with the addition of a sliding QWERTY keyboard and an astonishing list of features.
