Seesmic for Android Gets Prettier, More Competitive

Seesmic for Android has just been updated – and what bad timing considering anything and everything is being overshadowed by the official Nexus S and Gingerbread announcements – but you should take a look at version 1.5. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Seesmic get a real overhaul, but today’s update makes the UI a lot more refined. Stuff has been moved out of the menu button and onto your screen, tabs are aplenty, and the red is as beautiful a read one has every seen.

More of the functional updates add the ability to change your Twitter avatar from within the application (finally!), more languages, username autocompletion, and improved attachment uploading. Seesmic was surpassed by big names such as TweetDeck and even the official Twitter application, but they’ve given me more than enough reason to check it out once more. Head on over to the Android market to get your fix. [via AC]
