Some folks like nice flashy videos, short demonstration clips, and a robust set of images and bulletpoints to get them excited for things such as today’s Android 2.3 outing. Others like to read, and read Google has enabled you to do: They’ve uploaded the full user’s guide for Android 2.3 in PDF format. A lot of this stuff won’t seem new to you, but we do get more looks at several parts of the OS. For instance, the screen to begin device activation has a newly-designed mascot there ready to take you on your journey.
We also see that the guide itself was neglected in the QA process as they’ve used a shot of pre-2.3 Android to show users how to wake the phone up. And the Calendar has gotten a nice visual overhaul, as well, but we can’t tell from here if there is any new core functionality to be had. (This one has Mathias Duarte written all over it.) There’s probably a lot more to be had, but this guide is massive. Take a stroll through it for yourself right here. [Thanks to everyone who sent this in.]
