We’ve already seen TaxiMagic make its trek from iOS over to the “greener” side, and Uber – formally known as UberCab (but had to drop the “cab” due to legal issues in California) – is here to challenge them. Features include the ability to request services, manually and automatically set your pickup location, track where the cab is at any given moment, and even pay for your ride from your phone.
The only problem I’ve ever found with any of these apps is that they normally only support a few select cities. We’ll see if Uber is any different. Go ahead and search for it now in the Android market.
