The Motorola Quench XT3, successor to the original Motorola Cliq/Quench XT, is now available in India. Though it was initially announced with Android 1.6 back in July, it now comes with Android 2.1 on board, though we won’t hold our breath on Froyo any time soon. The Quench XT3 comes with a 3.2-inch HVGA display, 512MB ROM, 256MB of RAM, and a 600MHz CPU. It is priced at 12,990 INR (~$300).

The top two and then the bottom image are radically different. Which one are we talking about here? The bottom one is sporting some ugly UI I don’t really recognize. I tried to check it out on the Motorola India website but there’s no mention of this there.
I wonder if your information is legit. Too many inconsistencies if you ask me. It’s one thing to say some phone is rumored, it’s quite another to say it’s already available when it seems like it’s not.
I want to buy this mobile as soon as.
How can I get it in India ?
Thanks.
I’m not a tech guru, can anyone explain to me why any new phones are coming out with Android 1.6 or even 2.1 at this point? Froyo has been out for a while. I can understand that the manufacturers are so busy with new products they might not support older phones with OTA updates, but, why put out a new phone with old OS?
Is that stock android?
