Rogers Starts Samsung Captivate Training, Launch Imminent?
It’s been a bit over a month since we heard about the Samsung Captivate headed to Rogers in Canada, but a new leak by Cellular Guru today suggests they could be close to launching the device. An internal screenshot of an employee training module shows that the Samsung Captivate – alongside other non-Android devices – is being pushed into the faces of Rogers employees everywhere. (The politically correct way to say it: training on the phone has begun.)
Unfortunately, Rogers isn’t yet ready to come clean with pricing and availability information, but we can’t imagine they’ll go too deep into Autumn without a word. The Samsung Captivate is just as much of a Galaxy S phone as any of them with its 4-inch Super AMOLED display, 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor, 16GB of internal storage, 5-megapixel camera and 720p HD video recording. I’d say you Rogers fans have a lot to look forward to very soon. (We’d place a nice, big, red circle around all of next week, for starters.)
