Whether you’re seeking a high -end Android or a run of the mill Android, folks in India should be happy to hear they’ve got some new versions of each coming to their market.
The HTC Desire, the company’s flagship phone of sorts, will launch in India for Rs 28,900 ($620) with Tata DoCoMo. While in some countries the Desire comes loaded up with the most recently yummy Android 2.2 Froyo, the Indian flavor consists of only 2.1. With a 3.7-inch screen, 1GHz processor, 5MP and “the works” in terms of connectivity, the HTC Desire should please the high-end tech craving Indian. [Via Cell Passion]
The budget conscious Android shopper might prefer the Samsung Galaxy 3 (I5801) or Samsung Galaxy 5 (I5503). They’ll cost 12,300 Rs ($265) and 10,200 Rs ($222) respectively and of course come with a more modest feature set.
