Android 2.1 ZTE Racer Headed to 3UK

When ZTE first unveiled their intentions to get a whole group of Android smartphones out onto the market, it seemed they would mostly be low-end devices running older versions of Android. They are still mostly leaning towards the lower-end of the SPECtrum (see what I did there), but at least with time the version of Android on board has been brought a little more up to speed. Now featuring Android 2.1, the ZTE Racer has shown up in 3UK’s online store.

Available for £110 without a contract as a pay as you go phone, the Racer comes with the following outlined specs:

• 2.8 ” QVGA (240 x 320) touchscreen
• 256 MB internal memory expandable via microSD card slot (2GB card included in sales package)
• 3.2 Megapixel camera
• WiFi
• 7.2 Mb/s HSDPA
• Bluetooth
• GPS
• FM radio
• Dimensions: 102 x 55 x 14.5 mm
• Weight: 100 g

If you’re in the UK and in the market for a no-contract Android phone on the cheap, this one might be worth some consideration.
