In an effort to help their customers take advantage of all that data they’re not using, Sprint’s released a series of videos to help the uninformed mobile phone user understand what apps are, what they can be used to do, and where/how to get them.
Android is the obvious first platform to come to mind when you’re thinking about apps for the carrier, but let’s not forget that Sprint carries Blackberries and feature phones as well. You can see a couple of those videos above and below, and be sure to head over to Sprint’s YouTube channel to watch more.

I hate the word “app”. Please can we start a movement to reclaim the word “application”?
There’s an APP for that……
iWhat, this is what al carriers should be doing. No iPhone envy at sprint, and think more and more people care less if the iPhone is coming to their carrier.
The word “app” has been around since before I first learned how to program in the 80’s. How about start a movement to stop people from b*tching and moaning about things that aren’t important?!
Agree with CJ :)
Wow! now I can play games while I’m waiting at the doctors office! Too bad I’m hardly ever at the doctors office….
I used to call them ‘programs’
Wow she didnt even mention palm web os…! Is sprint done with palm?
So let’s start a movement to call them “progs” or “grams!” LOL (obvious sarcasm here, have not problem with “apps”)
lol at how they didnt mention or show the hero when showing the android phones the evo and moment. hells yea for the moment lol
Yeah, I have a problem with the word apps, technically they are all pieces of software and If it came with an OS update, it was firmware (or so I used to call it.) If you said to an average user flash your firmware, they wouldn’t have a clue what the hell you were on about. Upgrade your OS, possibly. Anyway, not all apps are simple, If an app is an application, just look at some of the CAD Software, or 3d Design software, not that easy :D.
@Amoney Yes Sprint is done with Palm for now. No worries for we Sprint folks tho. We arent missing out on anything. Verizon and ATT can have the Plus line-up. Synergy iz Fail. haha
