Verizon invites participants of the media to check out the Motorola Droid X tomorrow, and we could be treated to the announcement of the phone’s launch date at that time. We’ve long heard July, and that was confirmed yesterday in the teaser they released for the device, but a narrower date may have already been revealed.
BriefMobile broke their video analysis tools out yesterday and went through the teaser frame-by-frame to try and pick out several new details. The biggest of which appears to be a slightly warped date that looks like it could spell out “7.2.2010”. As they noted, it could just be because of the weird warping effect (the extra “2” would come from the first digit in “2010”, being preceded by what looks like a music note but is most likely the “7”).
Maybe everyone’s just obsessing over this now, but thankfully we only have one more day to go before we get even more details in (hopefully) a straightforward announcement.
