Vietnamese tech site Tinh te’s claiming that the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be launching with Android 2.2 whenever it’s due out. More specs have apparently been uncovered, to boot. Their trusted source says it’ll have an ARM Cortex A8 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, a 4,000mAh battery, 16GB of on-board storage and the option to have more thank to the addition of a microSD card slot (expandable to 32GB to make a possible maximum of 48GB).
At least for the 7-inch variant, we’re also hearing it’ll have Samsung’s Super AMOLED display which should make for a really nice viewing experience. Finally, it’s apparently going to undergo a name change before it hits the market: meet the supposed Samsung Galaxy Tape. I have my reservations about the name, but we’ll just leave it at that.

Faster GPS – equivalent to handheld GPS devices, lens focus camera and you’ve got a winner.
I will never call it the Tape.
Great device all around but the name. Why that name? :(
I hope thats just a mistranslation because the Samsung Galaxy TAPE??? just doesn’t make any sense.
The tablet is not sexy at all. it’s kind of ugly..
samsung needs to let go of the galaxy name….there holding onto it for way to long, just let it die…kinda like how they’ve made way to many shrek movies….just let it go samsung
Any thoughts on price?
Minus the iPhone like UI, it look likes a pretty good tablet.
I would love to have the Galaxy S as my hand held device and the larger tablet as my desk top model alng with maybe a bluetooth keyboard to help it along. Very nice package. Sure hope that T-Mobile is reading my article.
@raon

Just wish it ran vanilla android…can it get the full android market place (I heard other android tablets cannot)
@Sean:
iPhone like UI? Have you ever even USED Android??
