Samsung Galaxy S Headed to Asia this June, Should Get Froyo

CNet’s reporting that the Samsung Galaxy S will be seeing a launch in Asia sometime this June. Considering some preorderers in Europe may be getting this phone on the first of June, we could be seeing Asia get their slice of the pie around the same time. It’ll be available for S$1,098 (which comes out to be around $775).

This follows the news yesterday that our German friends could preorder the Galaxy S for 649 euros, while those of us in the United States might be seeing it come to T-Mobile soon, as well. The biggest surprise is that Samsung states it will be updated to Android 2.2 sometime in the future, but considering the run-around they’ve given regarding another Android phone of theirs, we’ll keep our excitement reserved, for now.
