Another day, another mobile advertising metrics report. This time, Millennial Media’s reporting Android has grown 77% month-over-month in terms of ad requests on their network. Since January of 2010, Android requests have grown 282%.
HTC was the fifth-biggest device manufacturer in the report thanks to their diverse catalog of devices worldwide, while Motorola’s offering played a significant part, as well. To date, Millennial serves 10% of its ads to Android devices pushing Android into the third-most spot behind RIM and Windows.
These latest numbers show that Android has been the fastest growing operating system for the network since the iPhone was introduced. It seems no one can get enough of reminding us about just how well Android is doing, and how fast they expect Android to catch up to its competitors in a year’s time.
