Motorola Devour Could Be Getting Updated Soon, Won’t Be 2.1

It’s easy to forget about Verizon’s latest phone with all of the fuss about their upcoming Droid Incredible (HTC Incredible if you aren’t used to the new name, yet). Android Central leaked a flier which shows that an update for the Motorola Devour is on its way. This isn’t the big 2.1 update we’re looking for, but Devour owners might want to pay attention anyway. Here’s the list of improvements and fixes:

Improved response time when menu, home and back keys are pressed.
Adjustments to improve the accuracy of signal strength indicators on the display.
Stability improvements made to browser, contacts and VCAST Music apps.
Improved incoming call performance.
Volume keys now work when you’re in the mobile IM app.
Fix for picture orientation on upload.
Fix to make it easier to delete POP3 e-mail accounts.
Changed display on the e-mail account setup.
Change to Exchange calendar agenda view to show meeting titles
Verizon.net e-mail accounts now auto-configure.
Improvements to ringer, voice dialing and multimedia audio when using a headset.
Update Google apps.

The version number is CALAND_X_01.15.08p, and we should be expecting it as early as next week. We’ll let you know if this materializes and update you as soon as it’s available.
