Acer Liquid A1 Passes FCC with AT&T 3G Bands

If you didn’t already know, the Acer Liquid A1 is already available in the good old UK and it really is a nice looking phone. Resting on a 1GHz snapdragon processor how can you complain? Easily, if you don’t live in the UK I suppose. But Americans will be relieved to know that the device just passed the FCC sporting AT&T 3G capable bands (850 / 1900 MHz).

This is just the beginning of Acer’s push… we told you yesterday the company aims to release 5-6 Acer phones in the first half of 2009. Second half of 2009? I wouldn’t be surprised if they match and/or exceed that number.

Since the A1 just launched in the UK there have been some unboxings done and I thought they might pique your interest. So here you have it, an Acer Liquid A1 unboxing courtesy of TechnoloShree:

Also interesting is that pages in the A1 Manual actually tell you how to use your phone to tether the device to your cmoputer:

AT&T will likely be offering an Android Phone from another computer manufacturer in early 2010 – DELL. This should be interesting.
