ZestAdz Aims For Android Growth

The mobile advertising market will be the next big thing in terms of generating advertising revenue and don’t just take MY word for it, trust Google who themselves just purchased Admob – the leader in mobile advertising/marketing. But Google/Admob won’t just walk away with the crown if ZestAdz has anything to say about it.

Los Angeles based ZestAdz define themselves as a “mobile ad marketplace” and the company aims to be one of the top 3 mobile ad networks globally. A lofty goal, and one that if they reach, could mean a HUGE success story in the coming years. They’re hoping to ride the Android wave to that success and have just published their own SDK allowing app developers to integrate ZestAdz into their applications. Right now the SDK only supports Android 1.5 but an upgrade in the near future will add support for Android 1.6 and 2.0.

I’ll be honest… they have a HUGE challenge ahead of them. It seems Google is aiming to become the defacto network for mobile ad integration and I’m certain they’ll be working hard to innovate the area with coupons, location based ads and much more in coming months and years. I hope ZestAdz can keep up, or better yet, stay a step ahead to help push the mobile market forward.

Healthy competition is a wonderful thing.
