Verizon Holiday Publication Promotes Droid

13

I’m not exactly sure what document this is from, but it appears to be a holiday training guide for Verizon employees that will help them position the various devices and keep in mind the timeframe of upcoming phone launches. In addition to seeing the first of the BlackBerry Curve2 and feeling embarrassed for the BlackBerry Storm2 we see none other than the Motorola Droid in a full page spread and given a timeline of its own:

Unfortunately there is no mention of the HTC Desire, HTC Passion or other rumored Verizon Androids so we have to HOPE that they’re merely lumped in with an overall “Droid Launch” in November. And it looks like the Droid Launch Campaign will begin on November 5th… I’m guessing with “available starting tomorrow” advertisements if all the rumors line up.

We have Lots of Droid’s and if you look at the leaked stuff on the ERIS the Motorola droid would be the DOES
    Just a thought

  4. “All together in a beautiful and borderless package.” Are they hinting at this being a GSM world phone?

  5. Tomorrow seems soooo….far….away.

  6. Ya tomorrow is going to take forever to get here.. if they dont do online telesales on 10/28 im going to be pissed

Wait, what am I missing here? All I can see about the 28th is a mention of a Droid teaser.

  9. I agree guys… it is taking forever. There is a rumor that the official release date is set for November 7th though.

  10. What’s with the Eye of Sauron on the screen?

  11. i agree with peter, IT LOOKS LIKE SAURON!!!!!!!!!!

  12. Notice the tiny description on the “Ramp Up” section (12.01-12.13): “Keep the momentum going with new device launches”. This suggests more Droid-branded phone(s) launching on Verizon after the Droid and Droid Eris. Could this be the HTC Passion/Dragon, which some rumors have pegged as an early/mid-December launch?

In any case, it seems clear this is a marketing plan for the Droid line, not just the Motorola Droid itself.

  13. YESS! IT LOOKS LIKE SAAAURON!~~! I THINK I WILL GET NIGHTMARES EVER SINCE I BOUGHT IT! I STILL CAN’T GET MY CAPS LOCK OFF!
