We were SO excited to learn more about the first ever LG Android Phone… and then we learned it would be a Wi-Fi-less OPhone heading to China Mobile.
Excuse our lack of excitement, but we’ve currently got our eye on the LG Eve (GW620) which DOES have Wi-Fi and is much more likely to land in North America and Europe. We won’t let our jealousy get the best of us – for those wondering what kind of specs the LG GW800 is working with, here they are:
- 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen
- 256MB RAM
- 512MB ROM
- GPS
- 5MP Camera with auto-focus and flash
- Mobile TV
- Front facing camera with 30 fps video
Far as i remember, China doesn’t have 3g networks, so why the hell do they need a front camera !!!
China Mobile recently rolled out a 3G network.
I’m guessing the front camera is for Face to Face chat. Asian countries have jumped on that band wagon way before the US has. Face to Face chat allows people to use sign language to communicate quickly instead of typing – check out the movie “Babel”.
