Motorola Sholes Gets Live Cam Love!

11

There isn’t much in the sense of “news” here as this is all about a pic. We showed you guys the original Motorola Sholes leaked pics a few days ago. Those pics seemed to be renderings of the device – now we’ve got a live picture of a prototype!

Nice progress! This suggests a prototype has been done leaving us wondering if it will be one of the MotoDroids to launch for the holidays or whether this bad boy will have to wait until Q1 2010. The only real difference from render to live picture seems to be the DPad on the interior QWERTY now looks like a big red bullseye. I’m not a big fan as it takes away for the “sleek/sexy” presence that the renderings provided.

Either way – this is going to be one bad mamajama! At least we think, hope, pray and have our fingeres crossed.

  1. There is another change — there are now 4 menu buttons rather than 3 on the render. I think it’s a dedicated search button.

  2. From bottom to top: back, menu, home, search ?

  3. Do we know yet if Verizon is going to allow any kinds of tethering for it? Especially wifi type tethering apps?

  4. @johnkzin this is free for all that i know. you do not have to root your phone either http://junefabrics.com/android/index.php

  5. Mhh. What I certainly don’t like about the picture is that there are edges around the screen. I’d want the front of the phone to be completely plane. Otherwise it would look great.

  6. THe prototype pictures that were out there looked nice..i think this model looks terrible. I was hoping for a T-Mobile release…but not now…this thing is ugly.

  7. The renders posted earlier were stunning; I hope motorola stays true to them.

  8. Yeah, I can’t say I’m impressed with the looks either, but I don’t really care. It’s an android phone for Verizon, just what I’ve been waiting for! Provided VZW doesn’t pull a Tonya Harding on it…

  9. They need it in white!

  10. Tender thanks you for details. It helped me in my responsibility
